Media Filtration
Aqueous Solutions offers a wide range of filtration solutions including deep bed multi media systems. These systems backflush automatically utilising a microprocessor based control valve. This is capable of removing particles down to nominally 3 micron. A subsequent cartridge filter system can then provide filtration levels down to 0.5 micron. This is ideal for industries requiring sediment free water supply.
If the feed water contains suspended colloidal particles such as a typical dam water supply, Aqueous Solutions will design and supply a pre coagulation and flocculation system. This mini water treatment plant will then supply crystal clear drinking water quality water after the filtration plant.
Carbon filters
Carbon filters are available to provide removal of chlorine, organics, organo chlorines including pesticide residuals and organic breakdown products from harmful algal outbreaks. Carbon filters provide a very high level of water purification when the correct carbon grades are selected. Aqueous Solutions carbon filters are also programmed to be auto regenerating and to integrate with a total flocculation – filtration system.
Iron Removal Filters
High iron content in bore water is a common problem afflicting many irrigation projects. Blocked sprinklers, clogged drippers and supply lines, toxic levels of iron affecting plant growth are all common symptoms of high iron content. Often the iron is in soluble form (clearwater iron) as it exits the bore only to slowly precipitate out throughout the whole distribution network. Normal filtration systems are not effective at removing this form of iron. Aqueous Solutions offers a catalytic iron removal media system capable of removing iron to negligible levels. These systems are designed to operate automatically and backflush as necessary to discharge iron removed to a separate holding area.

Aqueous Solutions are agents for ADI International Inc Media G2® arsenic removal media. Media G2® is an iron based adsorption treatment technology for removing arsenic from water specifically ground water, for potable use.

Hardness is common in many water supplies particularly ground water with elevated calcium and magnesium levels. Excessive hardness can result in scaling on pipelines, boilers, hot water systems and fittings causing blocking, as well as causing some agricultural chemicals to perform less well when made up with a hard water source. Hard water leaves a “hard feeling” on the skin and does not lather when used in a domestic situation with soap.
Aqueous Solutions supplies automatic softening systems for industrial and commercial use. These softeners are fully automatic in operation and regeneration.
For a complete demineralisation system Aqueous Solutions offers 2 stage cation anion and / or mixed beds demineralisation plants with automatic acid and alkali regeneration.
Aqueous Solutions can offer Chlorine, Ultra Violet, and Chlorine Dioxide water sanitation systems. For large installations chlorine dioxide offers many advantages over traditional chlorine based systems.

Chlorine Dioxide
Aqueous Solutions extensive work in the chicken processing industry has resulted in an exciting new development in food processing. Traditional sodium hypochlorite water sanitation has been replaced with an electrochemical chlorine dioxide generation process. Water sanitation levels are measured directly and chlorine dioxide added under automatic feedback control. Customers report a 10 fold improvement in microbiological counts and a subsequent improvement in shelf life. Aqueous Solutions provided the complete turnkey package of design, installation and commissioning into a high speed continuous production environment.
